Private Training

For some dogs and their parents, private training is the way to go. Private training offers flexibility and convenience in scheduling, plus 100% attention to your dog's specific needs. Private training works well for dogs that are highly distractable in a group environment, or have a specific issue that needs a more focused approach. They can be particularly effective for those families who want to have young children learn how to work with the family dog. Individual sessions also work well for people whose schedules may not lend themselves to a 6-week long group class commitment. Private training can take place at Teacher's Pet Dog Center or your home.

"Yappy Hour"

Yappy Hour is a weekly fun social event for active Teacher's Pet members and their parents. It's the perfect opportunity for parents to observe and learn about group dog behavior and mix and mingle with other dog parents, while dogs socialize with their buddies. Most times we will make use of the large, fenced “Pooch Playground,” but if the weather is uncooperative, we’ll enjoy playtime in the DogHouse. Come let the tails and tongues wag!

Doggie Daycare

Doggie Daycare is just what you might hope it would be: fun activities, socialization, and attention for your dog, all day long. It is perfect for puppies, for dogs with exceptionally high energy needs, for dogs with separation anxiety, and for dog parents with long work days or uncooperative schedules. Or perhaps you just want to give your dog and yourself a treat-you will get to come home from work and pick up your happy, tired dog on the way home!

Overnight Boarding

For dogs who are part of the Teacher's Pet dog community, we offer overnight boarding on a space-available basis. We will only accommodate dogs with whose temperaments we are familiar, and whose play and learning styles are known to us. Your dog will spend limited time crated, and will enjoy all the advantages and company provided as a part of Doggie Daycare and/or Yappy Hour. Clients who have used this service tell us their dogs come home exhausted!

Private Parties

If you're thinking about a birthday celebration for your best friend, or just want an excuse to have a great time with your pooch and all of his and your good buddies, Teacher's Pet Dog Center is available for private rental, calendar and schedule permitting. We can also "cater" a party with delicious canine treats, and can facilitate your good fun by coordinating games, activities, and more.
